Yazoo City football player apologizes for role in fight at Vicksburg

SUMMARY: A football player from Yazoo High School has apologized for his involvement in an on-field altercation during a against Vicksburg High School. The fight resulted in numerous ejections and a suspension of play. The altercation occurred when a Vicksburg defensive back intercepted a pass and was tackled by a Yazoo City offensive lineman, who used excessive force. This led to pushing and shoving between the players, and multiple players from both teams getting involved. The Yazoo City player, Corderro McBride, apologized on social , stating that he did not mean for it to escalate and that he will work on himself. Five Vicksburg players were suspended, and further discipline is expected for all players involved. The game ended with a 35-0 victory for Vicksburg.
