SUMMARY: Yolanda Torns has been sentenced for nearly five years after the body of Celeste McDonald was found in Louisiana. Torns was convicted of second-degree murder. McDonald had accused Ryan Christopher Hopkins of sexual assault. Torns and Hopkins tried to persuade McDonald to withdraw her claim, but she refused. Then, Hopkins killed her and Torns helped dispose of McDonald's body in Louisiana. The two got married on the same day they were arrested to avoid testifying against one another. Torns has been sentenced to 40 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with 25 years to serve. Hopkins has also been extradited to Mississippi.
