Winter Storm Brings Heavy Snow and High Winds in Truckee, California

SUMMARY: A snowstorm has hit the Sierra with several inches already fallen in California. The main is expected later with snowfall rates increasing to 2-3 inches per hour. Strong winds will reduce visibility, leading to a blizzard warning until Sunday. The storm will mainly impact mountain with feet of snow expected. Snow levels will drop to valley floors due to colder . Travel will be difficult with power outages possible. The best advice is to stay put during the storm as snow will stick around and be hard to clear from roadways.
