Oak Leaf Drive home damaged by fire
SUMMARY: A home on Oak Leaf Drive caught fire, with the Jackson Fire Department receiving a call around 1 p.m. It took the firefighters almost an hour to control the flames. Laura Anderson, the homeowner who has lived in the house for over 30 years, expressed gratitude that her husband and son were able to escape the fire. She emphasized that although material things can be replaced, life is irreplaceable. The cause of the fire is unknown.

Arrest made in Aberdeen shooting
SUMMARY: In breaking news from Monroe County, Aberdeen police have made a quick arrest in a shooting case. Brandon Lenoir, aged 42, has been arrested for allegedly shooting his 41-year-old cousin, Tavis Gabings, multiple times last week. The incident took place on Thursday night on Clayton Drive. Gabings is currently in stable condition in the hospital, while Lenoir is awaiting a bond hearing. More updates are expected as the investigation progresses.

Woman charged with kidnapping two Vicksburg children
SUMMARY: Ronneisha Evans was arrested in Slidell, Louisiana on Monday for two charges of kidnapping. She is accused of kidnapping 3-year-old Tamerikaya Rawlings and 5-year-old Benyaaqob Rawlings from Vicksburg. The arrest was made without incident.
