TSA reminds Jackson travelers about weapon declaration
SUMMARY: TSA officials at the Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport warned travelers to follow proper safety procedures with weapons, as confiscations of unsecured or improperly-checked guns have been increasing annually. Violators face fines, property loss, missed flights, and arrests. Aside from guns, travelers have also been found with knives, tasers, brass knuckles, large rocks, and other potential weapons. The TSA emphasized the importance of being responsible gun owners and knowing the location of their firearms at all times. Travelers can visit TSA.gov for more information on weapons restrictions at the airport.
