South Pontotoc beats West Lauderdale to move on to the North Half championship series
SUMMARY: The game was a close one as the Cougars faced a must-win situation with a packed crowd at Cougar Field. In the top of the first inning, a double play by the third baseman helped the Cougars get out of a tight spot. In the bottom of the first, Dalton Tutor hit towards third but another double play ended the inning scoreless. The game remained tied until the bottom of the third when Eli Holloway hit a solo home run, giving the Cougars their first lead. The Cougars held on to win 3-2 and advance to the north half championship series.
