Suzanne Somers, of ‘Three’s Company,’ dies at 76

SUMMARY: Suzanne Somers, famous for her role as Chrissy Snow on TV show “Three's Company” and New York Times best-selling author, has passed away at 76. Long battling breast cancer, Somers was surrounded by when she died in Palm Springs, California. Over her career, she some criticism for advocating a chemical- and organic lifestyle to fight her cancers, speaking against chemotherapy. Somers had a successful acting career starting from the 1960s and her most well-known work was on “Three's Company”. her acting career, she became an entrepreneur and authored several books on various topics and wellness.

USM Army and Air Force ROTC programs host Commissioning Ceremonies

SUMMARY: Ten Army and three Force cadets from the of Southern Mississippi (USM) ROTC were commissioned as Second Lieutenants. The Army ceremony at Camp Shelby Major General Janson D. Boyles, while the Air Force ceremony on campus featured Brigadier General Mary-Kathryn Haddad. LTC Juan J. Ortiz praised the Army cadets for their leadership, and Lt. Col. Sheena Puleali'i commended the Air Force cadets for their commitment. Distinguished Military Graduate 2LT Jeremiah J. Parker expressed pride in his and future goals. Commissioned cadets include 2LT Miruna Avram, 2LT Braxton Bailey, 2LT Jada Fairley, among others.
