1 arrested, 2 wanted for trying to introduce contraband to Yazoo County correctional facility

SUMMARY: Yazoo County deputies one man and are searching for two others in connection with an attempt to introduce contraband into a correctional facility. The incident occurred after deputies received a tip on June 22. The suspects were located at a hotel in Yazoo and were seen leaving with bags, getting into a white Honda. When deputies tried to stop the vehicle on Jerry Clower Boulevard, the driver fled and crashed into a ditch. Two suspects fled with the bags, but one man was arrested at the scene. One bag was recovered near the vehicle.

MHP investigates two crashes in Lowndes County
