President Biden pardons son Hunter Biden
SUMMARY: President Biden granted clemency to his son, Hunter Biden, who was convicted of felony gun and tax charges earlier this year. In a statement, Biden argued that Hunter was targeted due to his relation to the president. This decision reverses Biden’s earlier stance of respecting the jury’s decision. Critics, including former President Trump and some Democrats, argue that the pardon is politically motivated, as Hunter had committed felonies and was convicted by a jury. Hunter expressed gratitude for the clemency and vowed to dedicate his life to helping others. This act comes just before Biden exits public life.
Hunter Biden was set to face sentencing on gun-related and tax convictions.

Congregation showing their faith is stronger than ever after Thanksgiving fire destroys church

He emphasized the importance of holding church despite the loss, preaching a message titled “Living in the Fire.” Copelan shared that while the emotional impact of the fire hit him the next morning, he remains thankful for God’s grace, believing that the adversity could reveal a greater purpose for the church. He is set to meet with his insurance company, and his son has already envisioned blueprints for their future church.

Rivian gets $6.6 billion to revive Georgia plant
SUMMARY: Electric vehicle maker Rivian is resuming construction on its Georgia manufacturing plant after securing a $6 billion federal loan. The plant, which was incentivized by $1.5 billion in tax breaks in 2021, faced delays due to cost-saving measures. Expected to create 7,500 jobs, the plant has received mixed reviews from locals. Senator John Osoff highlighted that the loan and other incentives saved billions, but some residents are frustrated by water issues. If construction hadn’t restarted, state funds and investments risked being lost. The Biden administration must finalize the loan before Donald Trump potentially takes office and cuts EV tax credits.
