Questions arise about Pearl’s license plate readers
SUMMARY: The city of Pearl in Mississippi has traffic cameras that target drivers without auto insurance. These cameras have generated revenue for the city, but some drivers like Tim Ryan have been wrongly ticketed. Despite having valid car insurance, Ryan received a ticket in the mail. There are concerns about the legality of the cameras, with some questioning if the city is breaking the law by using them. While the city claims the cameras are part of a crime reduction program, residents like Ryan are calling for them to be removed, citing unjust accusations and potential legal issues.

Mother of fallen Monroe County deputy upset after someone stole items from son's grave
SUMMARY: Recent cemetery vandalism in West Point, Yabish County, and Amory has drawn attention, with Sergeant Dylan Pickle's grave being notably affected. Sgt. Pickle, who served with the Monroe County Sheriff's Department, died in a traffic incident nearly four years ago. Visitors would leave coins on his grave, which held deep personal significance for his mother, Debbie Pearson. Recently, nearly $10 in coins was stolen, leaving only 4 cents. Other graves in the area have also been targeted. Pearson's cameras previously caught someone stealing solar lights from the site. Authorities urge the public to report any such vandalism to prevent future incidents.
