Jackson residents frustrated with condition of bridge
SUMMARY: Residents of Ward 2 in Jackson are frustrated with the deteriorating condition of a bridge on Aelia and Beaverbrook Drives. A large hole has formed in the middle, with the asphalt sinking across the road. Citizens blame poor construction underneath the bridge and ongoing flooding, which hides the damage. The issue has persisted for over a year. City Councilman Stokes emphasizes the need to prioritize safety, criticizing funds spent on non-essential projects. A retired resident is frustrated with ongoing repairs and the city’s lack of response. Councilwoman Tina Clay was unaware of the issue and encourages residents to report concerns.
