Over the counter medicine not effective

This has as a shock to many, as the medicine is commonly used for a stuffy nose. The owner of Northtown Pharmacy, Dr. Andrew Clark, explains that there are two types of Sudafed, over the counter and behind the counter. He also mentions that this finding is not surprising, as it has been understood that phenylephrine is not as effective as regular Sudafed. This unanimous vote by the FDA is expected to disrupt the market for cold and allergy remedies.
