Oktibbeha County added to burn ban list
SUMMARY: and Starkville are now under a burn ban in OCA County due to dry weather conditions. The OCA County EMA director made the request for the burn ban today. Violators can face up to a $500 fine for illegal burning outdoors. Additionally, all of Alabama will be under a burn ban starting tomorrow. Around 90% of the area is covered by burn bans, making for a hot November. Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-80s, possibly even breaking a record of 87 degrees from 2005.
