New tropical storm could form this week, NHC says
SUMMARY: The National Hurricane Center is monitoring an area of showers and thunderstorms that could become the next named storm. The system, located between the Cabo Verde Islands and the Lesser Antilles, has a 90% chance of development over the next two days. If it forms, it will be named Rina. Meteorologists predict that the storm, if it forms, will likely stay out to sea. The NHC is also tracking Tropical Storm Philippe, which is expected to weaken over the next few days. Philippe could reach Puerto Rico as a tropical depression on Sunday night or early Monday.
