New residency programs announced for Laurel hospital
SUMMARY: Governor Tate Reeves announced new medical residencies at South Regional Medical Center in Laurel, which has been approved as an institutional site for residency programs by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. The hospital is finalizing an Internal Medicine Residency program in partnership with William Carey University, aiming to accept its first class of 10 residents next summer. This three-year program will ultimately host 30 residents.
