‘Workplace behavior and speech’ led to Higgins being fired as LINK CEO
SUMMARY: Joe Max Higgins was abruptly removed as CEO of the Golden Triangle Development LINK after over 20 years, during which he facilitated over $10 billion in economic growth. His firing followed a committee vote deeming a leadership change necessary for the region’s long-term interests, despite some local officials viewing the decision as hasty. COO Meryl Fisackerly will lead during the CEO search, with stakeholder input encouraged. Higgins contributed to major projects including Steel Dynamics and Airbus plants and multiple megasites.
