Mississippi teen shot, killed at party in Batesville
SUMMARY: An 18-year-old teenager named Jordan Henderson was shot and killed at a block party in Panola County. The party was being shut down by deputies when multiple shots were fired by unknown suspects. Witnesses reported hearing hundreds of shots. Another person was also injured by a vehicle fleeing the scene. The victim’s grandmother, Sharon Henderson, revealed that law enforcement claimed there was security at the party, but the sheriff’s office later stated that they do not provide security for private events. Henderson described her grandson as a quiet person who had just graduated and was looking forward to college. Another GoFundMe page is being set up to help with funeral arrangements. The Panola County Sheriff’s Office is asking for information from the public to aid in their investigation.
