Michael Morris takes over as director of Two Mississippi Museums

Morris, who has been with MDAH since 2016, most recently served as the director of public engagement. He has been involved in strategic planning, community meetings, research projects, event planning, and support for department leadership. Morris has a degree in history and political science, and has completed various leadership programs. He takes over the position from Pamela D.C. Junior, who retired in June. The Two Mississippi Museums have received over 500,000 visitors since opening in 2017.
