Memorial’s largest class of new physicians honored at White Coat Ceremonya
SUMMARY: Memorial Hospital held its white coat ceremony at the Hancock Whitney Tower in downtown Gulfport, distributing 20 robes to new residents in internal medicine and family medicine. Nine newly graduated Family Medicine doctors are staying local. The program aims to increase the number of physicians in the community. One local resident, born at Gulfport Memorial, expressed pride in serving the community. Memorial hosts the only civilian residency on the Gulf Coast, currently with 46 residents in its program. The event highlights the hospital’s ongoing efforts to build a legacy of medical service in the area.
Memorial Graduate Medical Education hosted the 2024 White Coat Ceremony for its largest class to date.

South Mississippi schools recognized for reading success
