Man wanted in Texas arrested after standoff in Natchez

SUMMARY: A fugitive wanted in , Eric Harris, was captured in Natchez on May 7 after being found hiding in a home. The U.S. Marshal's Service requested assistance in apprehending Harris, who was wanted in Texas on a violence assault by occlusion charge. The Adams County Sheriff's Office and Natchez responded to the scene, and Harris was after a two-hour standoff. Sheriff Travis Patten confirmed the arrest of Harris, who was sought for questioning in a Street homicide. Harris is now in custody in Adams County, Mississippi.
