Although preparations are underway, there is still some work to be done before the festival can fully commence. Stephanie Poole reports live from Jones Park, where the festive lights are being tested. The park is ready to host the Harbor Lights Winter Festival, a magical event that will charm guests from all over. The festival is set to begin this Friday at 5:30 pm, after Thanksgiving, and will continue until December 31st but will be closed on Christmas Eve—resuming on Christmas Day. To accommodate the popularity, two new trains were added to the existing rides, and Santa’s Village will see festive enhancements. With 2.5 million lights planned, the Gulf Coast Harbor Lights show promises to be a spectacular sight.
