JSU student creates petition to support acting president

SUMMARY: A student has started a petition in of making Acting President Dr. Elayne Hayes-Anthony the permanent president of the university. The petition was created due to concerns about finding the next president, but also to express acceptance and support for Hayes-Anthony's leadership. The student believes that Hayes-Anthony has proven herself through her actions. The Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL) stated that the search for a new president is progressing and on track to be completed this fall.
