SUMMARY: A senior student at Jim Hill High School in Jackson, Mississippi has received over $1.4 million in scholarships only three months into her senior year. Dana Bolden, who has a 3.8 GPA and plans to major in biology, encourages students to apply to schools outside of their state and to apply to as many schools as possible. She applied to 60 schools and has been accepted into 34 so far. School administrators say that this is a very rare accomplishment for a high school student to receive such a large amount of scholarships so early in the school year.
