Jackson shelter opens ahead of arctic blast

SUMMARY: A shelter has opened in , MS to those in need ahead of an arctic blast. The shelter at Sheppard's Gym has a limited number of sleeping cots and food available. Charles Elliot, of Shower Power, has been driving around the to pick up those in need and bring them to the shelter. Elliot said the shelter will offer three meals a day and snacks until January 21. They aim to a safe place for people living in a homeless .
