Jackson neighbors want sinkhole fixed
SUMMARY: Neighbors in South Jackson are concerned about a sinkhole on Patton Street that has been growing for the past three months, reaching several feet wide and six feet deep. Orange barrels placed around the hole have fallen in, posing a danger to drivers, especially at night. David Palmer, a resident on Patton Street, describes the sinkhole as a “death trap” that could easily catch someone off guard. The city of Jackson has been informed of the issue and workers are being sent to assess the damage and hopefully take action to prevent any accidents.
