Jabbawockeez to perform at Beau Rivage

SUMMARY: World renowned dance group The Jabbawockeez will be performing at Beau Rivage Casino and Resort in July. The group, which first appeared in 2006 on America's Got Talent and won MTV's Randy America's Best Dance Crew in 2008, uses its signature plain white masks and gloves to create a unified group performance. The show, called ‘Timeless,' will feature different music eras and promises to be full of surprises, with an interactive experience that creates the feel of a full-on concert. Tickets are available for $35 at the Beau Rivage box office or the casino's website.

USM Army and Air Force ROTC programs host Commissioning Ceremonies

SUMMARY: Ten Army and three Force cadets from the of Southern Mississippi (USM) ROTC were commissioned as Second Lieutenants. The Army ceremony at Camp Shelby Major General Janson D. Boyles, while the Air Force ceremony on campus featured Brigadier General Mary-Kathryn Haddad. LTC Juan J. Ortiz praised the Army cadets for their leadership, and Lt. Col. Sheena Puleali'i commended the Air Force cadets for their commitment. Distinguished Military Graduate 2LT Jeremiah J. Parker expressed pride in his and future goals. Commissioned cadets include 2LT Miruna Avram, 2LT Braxton Bailey, 2LT Jada Fairley, among others.
