Interview: 13th Annual Dog Paddle in Starkville
SUMMARY: The 13th annual Dog Paddle fundraiser for the Octiva County Humane Society will take place in Starkville this weekend. The event allows dog owners to bring their pets to swim in the city pool, with the goal of raising funds for the Humane Society's Second Chance fund. Last year, over $14,000 was raised, and this year they hope to raise $15,000. The event will take place at Moncrief City Park from 9 AM to noon, and it costs $30 to participate with up to two dogs per person. There will also be giveaways from sponsors, including Tito's vodka.

ICC graduation held on Friday
SUMMARY: Graduation season is here, a special day for students celebrating their hard work and achievement. WTV Jake White reported live from the ICC campus in Tupelo, where the energy was incredible. Graduates expressed happiness at finally walking across the stage after years of hard work. The event was packed with new grads and their loved ones at the Davis Event Center. Some graduates shared their feelings of accomplishment and gratitude towards their teachers and peers. State House speaker Jason White also congratulated the graduates. Overall, it was a day of celebration and pride for all the college graduates.

Students in New Albany take a tour of the city
SUMMARY: Over 200 third graders from New Albany Elementary and East Union Attendance Center in Union County went on a downtown tour to visit local businesses and learn about different occupations. The annual school field trip gave students the opportunity to understand the roles that businesses play in their community. They visited various establishments to gain insights into different jobs and the importance of each business in the area. The tour allowed the students to connect classroom learning to real-world experiences and explore the diverse career opportunities available in their community.
