HS football state championships moving back to Oxford
SUMMARY: The Mississippi High School Football State Championships will be held in Oxford at Vaught Hemingway for the first time since 2017. The move was announced by the MHSAA after hosting the games at The Rock in Hattiesburg for four of the last five years. This will be the first championship games with the new 7-A class, and the event has been extended from two to three days, running from November 30th to December second. Free tickets can be obtained on site or reserved online at c-f-b hall dot com.

Homeowner shot after confronting teens trying to steal a car
SUMMARY: Overnight, a homeowner in Jackson was shot after confronting a group of teenagers attempting to steal her car. The incident occurred around 4:00 a.m. on Bonita Drive near Queen Eleanor Lane.
