Helping lower food insecurity for college students

SUMMARY: Mississippi for Women has been operating the Owl Food Pantry since 2021 to the 25% of facing food insecurity, especially those on college campuses. The pantry is open to currently enrolled , accepting donations from the campus and surrounding community. This initiative was led by at the university in response to the high rates of food insecurity. The pantry is open on weekdays from 8am to 5pm and is an important resource for current students in need. Donations, both in-kind and monetary, can be made through the MUW foundation office.

Court upholds conviction of Mississippi woman sentenced after victim dies in coma
