Back for round two, Hancock House Floats will again be awarding prize money to the Hancock County residence and business with the best purple, gold, and green decorations.
The contest, which began last year to keep the Mardi Gras spirit alive and well despite no big celebrations, is returning.

Pearl River women qualify for College National Finals Rodeo
SUMMARY: The Pearl River Community College rodeo team had a successful weekend at Northwest, with the men's team finishing sixth and the women's team finishing second. The women's team also secured the Ozark Region Reserve Champion title, earning them a spot in the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper. Kate Eiland was named the All-Around Champion and tied for first in breakaway roping. Erin McLaughlin, Juliana Jennings, and others also performed well in breakaway roping. Kate Eiland and Bryson Crawford advanced to the championship round in team roping. Overall, the team had a strong showing and is looking forward to the upcoming finals.
