The county received over $28,000 for this project to keep hazardous waste out of their landfill. Additionally, the county is conducting a feasibility study for a new landfill for quickly decaying materials such as construction debris. This long-term plan will undergo public communication and hearings to ensure community involvement. Updates on Amnesty Day, scheduled for October, will be provided as the date approaches.
