'Goon Squad' set to be sentenced
SUMMARY: A person's death at the scene is believed to be connected to the person who shot at a deputy in Rankin County, Mississippi. Six former deputies from the county's sheriff's office, known as the “goon squad,” will be sentenced for their brutal crimes against Michael Jenkins and Eddie Parker from last year. The sentencing has been delayed twice and will take place from March 19th to the 21st. Victims and residents have called for a Justice Department investigation and a federal takeover of the sheriff's office in response to the incidents.
