Go Red for Women Day held on Friday

SUMMARY: Many people in the metro area showed for cardiovascular awareness by wearing red on “Wear Red Day.” This day is meant to spread awareness about heart disease and stand in solidarity with Go Red for Women, a partnership with the American Heart Association. The director of Go Red for Women encourages good habits to stay healthy, as cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of women. Local hospitals like Baptist and UMMC participated in the cause for awareness, with nurses, , and hospital staff wearing red and making signs to encourage others to stay heart healthy.
