SUMMARY: Welcome back, everyone! Three Coast football teams are preparing for the South State this week. The Gautier Gators are heading to 5A South State for the second consecutive year, with Head Coach Mark High aiming to advance farther than before. They face Laurel, whom they previously played for the region title, with Laurel winning that encounter. Coach High finds the rematch scenario similar to last year’s path to South State. Despite the challenge, he acknowledges Laurel’s strong team and is optimistic about the opportunity ahead. The highly anticipated game against the Golden Tornadoes is set for Friday at Laurel.

Last year was the first South State appearance ever for the program, this year head coach Marc High and the Gators aim to take it one step further.
