Funeral set for Guntown man who was found dead in Clay County
SUMMARY: Friends and family will gather today to attend the funeral of Audie Patterson, a Guntown man whose body was found by Klay County deputies on September 24th. Patterson was discovered on Country Oaks land near Highway 45 alternate, and Sheriff Eddie Scott stated that he was shot multiple times. The funeral will take place at 2:00 pm at Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo, in the s h s m Holland Memorial Chapel. Clay County deputies are treating the case as a homicide and have not yet identified any suspects.

High school baseball state championship matches are set
SUMMARY: Spring sports baseball state championships are just around the corner with exciting local matchups. Pine Grove boys will face Taylorville on Wednesday at 1 PM. In 2A, East Union aims for a three-peat against St. Andrews on Tuesday at 10 AM. East Webster tackles West Maran in 3A at 1 PM, also on Tuesday. In 4A, the Ripley Tigers begin their historic journey on Tuesday around 4 PM, with Su Ra standing in their way. Lastly, in 5A, Lefet will battle Van Cleave on Wednesday for the final game.

Interview: Mississippi Aquarium welcomes guests to see new facility, experience virtual reality and
SUMMARY: Mississippi offers numerous attractions, including the Mississippi Aquarium on the coast. Michelle and I, along with Nicole, Jeff, and new friends Lapis and Po, introduce some of the aquarium's star creatures. Lapis is a blue-tongue skink from Australia, while Po is a local Gulf Coast box turtle. The aquarium recently opened the “Changing Tides” building featuring 23 new exhibits, three biomes, and a new virtual reality experience. The upcoming “Year of the Penguin” aims to raise funds for a new penguin habitat. Visitors can enjoy penguin encounters, enhancing the educational and interactive experience at the aquarium.
