First responders take part in emergency drill at GT Regional Airport

SUMMARY: The Golden Triangle Regional Airport in Mississippi conducted a drill to simulate a mid- collision between a commercial airliner and a military plane. The exercise involved at least 10 agencies from three counties and the Columbus Air Force Base. The drill is required every three years to familiarize agencies with the airport and to improve communication and coordination among different agencies. The goal is to enhance preparedness for any real or incident that may occur in the future.
