Entergy Mississippi completes $37 million project in Southaven
SUMMARY: Entergy Mississippi has finalized a $37 million substation in north Mississippi to enhance the reliability and capacity of the power grid in DeSoto County. This strategic infrastructure development includes nearly two miles of new transmission lines, 12 miles of renovated distribution lines, and 74 new composite poles. Started in April 2022 and activated in December, the Snowden Park Substation will support expected regional growth, prevent potential overloads at neighboring substations, and maintain reliable energy service. The project accommodates future residential, commercial, and industrial expansion, bolstering regional economic development.

Boil water notice lifted in Jackson following storm-related power outage
