Emergency responders in Tupelo add a new vehicle to their fleet
SUMMARY: The Tupelo Fire Department and North Mississippi Medical Center have added new emergency vehicles to improve their response to medical calls. NMMC Emergency Services now has new ambulances equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment, a new design, and a “power load” device to help with stretcher transport. The fire department has also acquired a “Sprint Vehicle” that can provide medical care to patients until ambulance service crews arrive. The goal is to have all firefighters certified as EMTs in order to provide better care and faster service to residents.
