Domestic violence incident lands woman in Lowndes Co. Jail, man wanted
SUMMARY: A woman in Lowndes County, Mississippi has been arrested and charged with Aggravated Domestic Violence after allegedly using her car as a weapon during a domestic violence incident. Witnesses claim that Selvin Richard punched Corrye Jordan in the face and left the scene. In response, Jordan tried to grab a bat but Richardson’s father took it away from her. Jordan then got into her car and attempted to run over Richardson and his family twice. Richardson is currently being sought by investigators, as warrants have been issued for his arrest on a domestic violence charge.

Mississippi receives nearly $10 million in lottery earnings

State law dictates that the initial $80 million goes to the Mississippi Department of Transportation Projects, while any extra funds are allocated to the education enhancement fund. This transfer marks the second of twelve scheduled for the fiscal year. Winning lottery numbers are broadcast nightly on WCBI News at 10 p.m.

Louisiana teen dies from injuries in Mississippi crash
SUMMARY: A tragic accident in Amite County, Mississippi, resulted in the death of 17-year-old Mason Prima from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The crash occurred on Highway 568 just before 8:00 p.m. on September 13, when Prima’s 2010 Toyota Tacoma left the road and collided with a tree. He was airlifted to Our Lady of the Lake hospital in Baton Rouge but was pronounced dead upon arrival. The Mississippi Highway Patrol is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
