Cold-stunned turtles make their way to the Gulf Coast
We usually see Kemp’s Ridley sea turtles released into the Gulf after rehabilitation, but today News 25’s Sabria Reid was at Million Air Airport in Gulfport and got a live look at them arriving.
It was really a sight to see from the plane landing to students lined up carrying turtles to care.
Eighty cold-stunned Kemp’s ridley sea turtles landed in Gulfport for continued treatment and rehab. These turtles traveled from the New England Aquarium in Boston into the care of IMMS and the Mississippi Aquarium.

William Carey names vice president for student engagement
SUMMARY: William Carey University has enhanced campus life by promoting Dr. Wesley Dykes to vice president for student engagement, expanding his recruitment role to enrich the “Carey Experience” for current students. Vancleave’s Kelsey Mason to represent Team USA at the Scotland Junior Golf Invitational
SUMMARY: Kelsey Mason, a Vancleave High alum and Shelton State signee, is set to represent Team USA in the Scotland Junior Golf Invitational, a prestigious six-day tour through Scotland’s iconic golf courses, including St. Andrews and North Berwick. Excited by the challenge of playing in new conditions, Mason is one of only 21 U.S. golfers selected. She credits her NIL deal with Generator Supercenter for helping fund her tournament trip and college expenses. Before heading to Scotland, she’s playing at Whispering Pines in Moss Point. Mason looks forward to showcasing her talent and embracing the international golfing experience.
