Church Ac Units Stolen
SUMMARY: Thieves targeted a church in South Jackson, ripping out and stealing three air conditioning units. The pastor estimates it will cost around $60,000 to replace the equipment. The burglars also cut electrical wires connecting the units to the building. The church now has a chain and padlock on the front door and is using portable fans for Sunday worship services held in a gymnasium. The pastor is shocked and hurt by the theft, and the church's insurance doesn't cover the stolen property. Police are investigating the crime, but no suspects have been caught yet.
