Christmas in the Park in Collins
SUMMARY: UPS and Amazon packages will be handled by local law enforcement in South Mississippi during the Thanksgiving holiday due to increased traffic expected. Many South Mississippians will be driving to Collins, where an annual Christmas display, “Christmas in the Park” at Robertson Memorial Park, will be opening on November 23rd. Admission is free, and visitors are invited to drive through and see the thousands of Christmas lights and displays. The event is held on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights only, from 5-9 PM. Due to the expected traffic, UPS and Amazon deliveries will be handled by local law enforcement to ensure smooth traffic flow.
The event will run through Dec. 30.

South Pontotoc beats West Lauderdale to move on to the North Half championship series
SUMMARY: The game was a close one as the Cougars faced a must-win situation with a packed crowd at Cougar Field. In the top of the first inning, a double play by the third baseman helped the Cougars get out of a tight spot. In the bottom of the first, Dalton Tutor hit towards third but another double play ended the inning scoreless. The game remained tied until the bottom of the third when Eli Holloway hit a solo home run, giving the Cougars their first lead. The Cougars held on to win 3-2 and advance to the north half championship series.
