Cancer survivor leads Blazers into new football season
SUMMARY: Natalie Hughes, a cancer survivor who received a bone marrow transplant and spent over 100 days in the hospital, has been chosen as the special guest to lead the parade for the new football season at Belhaven University. Natalie was adopted by the team after they visited her in the hospital, and she describes her experience leading the team in the parade as amazing. She felt supported and felt like people were with her on this challenge. Natalie also had the opportunity to participate in the coin toss with the team.
