Brett Favre will testify under oath in Mississippi welfare scandal civil case
SUMMARY: Retired NFL quarterback Brett Favre is set to give a sworn deposition about the misuse of federal welfare funds in Mississippi. Favre and over three dozen other defendants are involved in a lawsuit aimed at recovering some of the misused welfare money. Favre has been accused of using the welfare funds for personal projects, but has denied the allegations, stating that he has repaid the misspent funds. Although Favre has not been charged criminally, a former Department of Human Services director and others have pleaded guilty to partaking in the misspending.
