Alleged kidnapping leads to fatal shooting in Shannon

SUMMARY: A teenage girl was kidnapped by a black male in Lee County, Mississippi, leading to a fatal shooting of the . The girl's were able to track her location using a phone app and notified authorities. The suspect was found shot dead on Washington Street in Shannon, with no weapon recovered yet. The are investigating the incident, and the Mississippi of Investigation has been called in for assistance. This is the first fatal shooting in Shannon this year. The suspected shooter is in custody, awaiting charges to be filed after further investigation.
