Alcohol sales now permitted all across Baldwyn
SUMMARY: As of 6 pm, residents of Baldwin will be able to enjoy alcoholic drinks with their meals due to the passing of House Bill 776. Mayor Roslin Carter explains that the bill changes the definition of a qualified resort area for the local option on the Alcoholic Beverage Control law. This change will permit the sale of alcohol in the dry part of Baldwin, which is split between Lee and prenis counties. At present, prenis County is dry, but the new law will take effect on July 1st, allowing for the sale of alcohol in Baldwin.
Alcohol sales are now permitted all across Baldwyn.

'Empowering Health” conference for Black men held in Jackson

Three arrests made in Clay County homicide investigation
SUMMARY: Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott confirmed three individuals, including Keon Boyd and Stric Griffi, have been charged with the murder of Ronald Bean, who was shot and killed on Saturday. Bean's body was discovered off Clay-Chiasa County Line Road. The incident reportedly began at CC's Club. A video shows Bean's car being towed from the scene. Hattiesburg kicks off National Travel and Tourism Week
