Grocery prices are starting to break
SUMMARY: Grocery store prices dropped slightly by 0.2% from March to April, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, marking a welcome change after years of price increases since the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the decrease is minor, shoppers at places like Todd's Big Store in Tupelo are relieved to save even a bit. Seasonal trends, such as summer, are factored out of these statistics. Businesses and families struggling with inflation will benefit, though effects aren't immediate. Vendors are offering special pricing on various items, and customers can expect seasonal discounts, helping families prepare for summer and Memorial Day cookouts. Live from Tupelo, Garner Montgomery, WTV 89 News.
Though not a major drop, grocery prices are starting to decrease.
