A much-loved special needs Warrior in D'Iberville is enjoying his new fame after he scored a touchdown during the middle school's game against Ocean Springs.

Eighth grader Tyler Hunter made WXXV's Play of the Day when he made the 30-yard touchdown.

Both teams had set up the play and both sides of the stadium went wild…

USM Army and Air Force ROTC programs host Commissioning Ceremonies

SUMMARY: Ten Army and three Air Force cadets from the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) ROTC were commissioned as Second Lieutenants. The Army ceremony at Camp Shelby featured Major General Janson D. Boyles, while the Air Force ceremony on campus featured Brigadier General Mary-Kathryn Haddad. LTC Juan J. Ortiz praised the Army cadets for their leadership, and Lt. Col. Sheena Puleali'i commended the Air Force cadets for their commitment. Distinguished Military Graduate 2LT Jeremiah J. Parker expressed pride in his training and future goals. Commissioned cadets include 2LT Miruna Avram, 2LT Braxton Bailey, 2LT Jada Fairley, among others.
