Sumrall Seeks 2nd State Title in 3 seasons
SUMMARY: The Bobcats have advanced to the state championship, which was their goal, thanks to a tough schedule that prepared them well. They've defeated five of the six teams on their schedule that reached their own state championships. In the 4A final, they'll face Ripley, a team new to the Big Dance in decades. Bobcats coach, Sumrall, believes their experience gives them an edge to win a second title in three years. The team is built on a high standard of success with a deep lineup that poses a threat every pitch. Three area teams will compete for titles this week, starting with West Marion on Tuesday.
