Formerly the deputy director, she has been instrumental in developing the workforce and enhancing the 's economic since November 2021. Governor Tate Reeves praised Taylor's leadership skills and past contributions to workforce . Taylor, with over 15 years of experience in higher education and workforce development, roles at East Mississippi Community College and the Alabama Community College System, advanced degrees in business and human capital development. She will replace Ryan Miller on March 16, as he moves to a new role as of the Oxford-Lafayette Economic Development Foundation.

Mississippi lawmakers not to challenge legislation vetoed by Reeves
